Condolences on the Passing of Laurie Williams

It is with great sadness that the club has to share with you the passing of  Laurie Williams, mother of board member Doug Williams. Laurie lost her battle with lung cancer on Tuesday May 13, 2014. She lived in Playa del Rey most of her life, where she was an avid gardener and supported the Wetlands restoration and preservation, and maintaining a healthy garden for all her invertebrate friends. In her final days, she was receiving very special care and assistance from Pacific Hospice Care.

As many of you know, Doug was an active competitor in the sport of figure skating. Based on the above, the family asks that in lieu of flowers or gifts, you please make a donation to one of the following organizations in her memory. Doug and his family greatly appreciate everyone’s love, support and concern.
