GREAT PARK ICE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH
ALL YEAR FIGURE SKATING CLUB
ANAHEIM, Calif. – Great Park Ice today announced a partnership with All Year Figure Skating Club (All Year FSC) that will house the club in the new ice facility beginning this winter. With over 600 members, All Year FSC is the fifth largest figure skating club in the country and the largest on the west coast.
“We are thrilled with the partnership between Great Park Ice and All Year Figure Skating Club,” said The Rinks Vice President Art Trottier. “Great Park Ice is going to attract premier figure skating talent to Orange County and will become one of the top training centers in the nation.”
As part of the partnership with Great Park Ice, All Year FSC will host two competitions and two recitals on an annual basis that traditionally attract more than 500 participants. Established in 1939, All Year FSC has hosted over 15 Regional Championships, seven Sectional Championships, the 1997 Junior Olympics and was the host club for the 2002 U.S. Championships in Los Angeles.
“We are looking forward to our new home at Great Park Ice and partnering with the facility to attract more high profile domestic and international events,” said All Year Figure Skating Club President Doug Williams. “We consistently field one of the nation’s largest club representations at the U.S. Championships, and Great Park Ice will soon become a destination for U.S. Figure Skating.”
Several recent Olympic Winter Games athletes developed and trained with All Year FSC, including Madison Chock with partner Evan Bates (2018 and 2014 Winter Olympics), and Rena Inoue and John Baldwin (2006 Winter Olympics). Athletes have also represented All Year FSC at many World Championships and Junior World Championships.
In 2018, All Year FSC celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Golden West Championships, one of the largest summer events in the country, featuring North American and international competitors.
